RedCat Hospitality trials new carvery concept

RedCat Hospitality has launched the first of a new carvery concept.

RedCat Hospitality, operator of the Coaching Inn Group and RedCat Independent Pubs, has launched the first of a new carvery concept at The Clocktower in Bowthorpe, Norfolk.

Overhauling the food and drinks menus, service operations and marketing, RedCat says the new style of its Castle Carvery Concept presents a value proposition for customers in Norwich.

The carvery is the main focus, supported by desserts such as freshly made doughnut’s, ice cream floats and a Pick n Mix station for children. The menus are designed around fast service and value.

"Castle Carvery is all about bringing family, friends and good times together," says Kiran Quinn, group marketing director at RedCat Hospitality. "With our refreshed branding and the launch of the Castle Carvery Club, we’re delivering loyalty for customers as well as low pricing, exciting meal deals, and regular promotions.

"Our new look and feel reflects our commitment to fast, friendly service, intuitive layouts, and multiple ordering options for carvery. We’re also proud to support local suppliers and have listened closely to our communities, ensuring Castle Carvery will remain a welcoming local hub for everyone."

Meat of the matter

RedCat says Castle Carvery aims to become a destination at the heart of the community, offering high-quality everyday meals, regular entertainment and the capacity for family parties.

Guests can enjoy classics from slow-cooked topside beef, leg of lamb and vegan wellington dishes, all served with traditional trimmings.

At Castle Carvery, the newly introduced kiosks will enable guests to place orders for meals and drinks, pay directly at the screen and receive real-time updates on order status.

"We’re excited to introduce this new technology to our Castle Carvery guests – marking a significant milestone in RedCat Independent Pub’s journey," adds Miles Slade, chief operating officer for RedCat Independent Pubs. "This investment not only enhances the guest experience by offering better value, greater convenience and quicker service, but also supports our operational goals – driving efficiency, and enabling our teams to focus on delivering exceptional hospitality. It’s a forward-thinking step that positions us for long-term growth. The team at The Clocktower are looking forward to having everyone back to the new and improved Castle Carvery."

RedCat Independent Pubs has been nominated for Pub Group of the Year at the 2025 National Pub & Bar Awards, which takes place on Tuesday 24 June in London.
