Butcombe's Perfect to co-host National Pub & Bar Awards
Jayson Perfect, COO of Butcombe Group, will co-host this year’s National Pub & Bar Awards.

In a shake-up to traditional industry formats, the National Pub & Bar Awards has announced that Jayson Perfect, COO of Butcombe Group, will co-host this year's ceremony.
Perfect (pictured), who was promoted to COO of Butcombe in February 2024, has been instrumental in the development of the group's pub estate, contributing to The George in Norton St Philip being named National Pub & Bar of the Year at the awards last June.
As part of the team that currently holds the illustrious title, Perfect was invited by the National Pub & Bar Awards to help present trophies to this year's winners, potentially passing the baton to whoever is named the UK's best next month. He will co-host the event with presenting royalty Mark Durden-Smith.
"I am so excited to co-host this year’s National Pub & Bar Awards," says Perfect. "Last year, Butcombe’s The George in Norton St Philip took away the top honour, which meant a huge amount to all of the team, and boy did we see the results.
"I’m delighted to play my part in honouring so many other businesses at the ceremony in June. The National Pub & Bar Awards is a massive event for the industry, with the power to dramatically increase sales for all of the winners on the night. I look forward to seeing you all there and raising a glass to the UK’s pub and bar industry."
Back and bigger than ever
The National Pub & Bar Awards, which returns to London on Tuesday 24 June, highlights an eclectic range of venues across the whole of the UK by naming 94 sites as the best in their respective counties.
Differing to previous years, the 94 County Winners will be announced live at the event, as well as Highly Commended venues for each area. In total, 256 pubs and bars have been shortlisted throughout England, Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland.
Held at Big Penny Social in London, the final will welcome all 256 nominees to come together and celebrate their success, before discovering which venues will go on to become County and Regional Winners.
The awards night will also crown the Pub Group of the Year, Bar Group of the Year, The Tyrrells Tyrrellbly Good Taste Award – presented by the event’s headline sponsor – and, ultimately, the overall National Pub & Bar of the Year.
On top of that, the 2025 event will launch the Industry's Choice Award, which has been voted for by hundreds of operators from across the country.
