Urban Pubs & Bars reopens East Dulwich favourite
Urban Pubs & Bars’ East Dulwich Tavern on Lordship Lane has reopened its doors.

The East Dulwich Tavern on Lordship Lane has reopened its doors, following a £1m investment from owner Urban Pubs & Bars.
Known locally as 'the EDT', the pub holds a key location on the high street, sitting on the corner of Lordship Lane and Goose Green.
The pub has long been a favourite among East Dulwich locals and Dulwich Hamlet fans, who fill the space on match days.
"The East Dulwich Tavern is a true icon of the area, and we’re incredibly excited to breathe new life into such a beloved pub," says Chris Hill, managing director of Urban Pubs & Bars. "With its history, community ties and prime location, we can’t wait to reopen the doors and welcome everyone back."
Climb to the top
Urban Pubs & Bars says one of the most exciting changes it has made is opening up the upstairs area, which will now be accessible at all times via a new internal staircase.
Previously reserved exclusively for private hire, this space features its own bar and sound system. Private events and celebrations remain bookable, with the upstairs rooms holding space for up to 120 people.
Formerly an Antic site, the EDT will continue with its calendar of events, including comedy nights, live music and a weekly quiz. The pub also maintains its close connection with Dulwich Hamlet FC, with sponsor banners at the stadium.
