Gusto's Matt Snell joins Boxpark as new CEO
Boxpark has hired Matt Snell as its new chief executive officer.
Hospitality and leisure group Boxpark has hired Matt Snell as its new chief executive officer, drawing to a close over seven years of leading restaurant brand Gusto Italian.
Snell has joined Boxpark to direct, challenge and grow the business during its next growth period. The business also recently appointed Chris Burford as CFO with the same expansion plans in mind.
In 2024, the group launched two new Boxpark venues in Liverpool and Camden, and has just announced a lease extension for its flagship Shoreditch location.
This spring, it will launch premium food hall concept Boxhall in Liverpool Street, providing a collection of dining experiences.

Snell's CV
With over 25 years in hospitality, Snell has held senior roles at brands like Gusto Italian, Fuller, Smith & Turner and Red’s True Barbecue. For the past 15 years, he has driven growth and innovation at director level, overseeing 100 premium pubs at Fuller’s, as well as leading the expansion of Red’s True Barbecue.c
As CEO of Gusto Italian for seven years, his work has been recognised for introducing new concepts that blend social spaces with immersive dining and entertainment.
