Residence in Leeds to open new café bar concept

Residence will open in Moortown through a new day-to-night concept.

The Leeds-based café and bar brand Residence has announced plans to expand with a new outlet in Moortown through a new day-to-night concept.

This will be the third location for the business led by Salar Eftekhary, which already operates sites in Headingley and Cookridge.

Residence Moortown will be a mix of coffee shop and cocktail bar. Alongside this, its new evening concept and lively nighttime venue will feature with freshly made pizzas.

Located in the former Barclays Bank building on Harrogate Road, the venue will offer seating for 100 diners. Additionally, the old bank vault has been repurposed into a traditional-style private dining room. There will also be an outdoor dining area.

Seven years in

Residence began as a small café in Cookridge in 2018. Over the years it has grown into a business focused on food and an excellent customer experience, creating a hub for community connection and quality offerings.

"We are always looking to improve and evolve our offer, and we are really excited to bring something a bit different to customers with this new dual-purpose venue," says Residence general manager Nate Smith. "Moortown is an energetic and vibrant neighbourhood which makes it the ideal location for our expansion and new concept, and we are very much looking forward to revealing all to our customers."
