National Pub & Bar Awards 2025 open for entries
Entries for the 2025 National Pub & Bar Awards are now open.
Pubs and bars from across the whole of the United Kingdom can begin their year with focused ambition and positivity, as entries for the 2025 National Pub & Bar Awards are now open.
Following a busy festive season, operators are being encouraged to make the most of the quiet month of January by submitting their venues into this prestigious celebration of the UK’s on-trade.
Headline sponsored by Tyrrells, while the 2025 event is still all about naming 94 County Winners from across the whole of the UK, this year will also see Highly Commended titles handed out for other outlets in these counties, meaning hundreds of awards are on offer.
What’s more, while in the past the County Winners have been revealed before the awards night Grand Final, paving the way for Regional Winner announcements, from 2025 pub and bar operators will now discover the 94 County Winners on the night itself.
How the 2025 National Pub & Bar Awards will work
Each county from across the UK will now have a shortlist of venues, all of which will be invited to the National Pub & Bar Awards ceremony in June. On the evening, the 94 County Winners will be unveiled by region, meaning areas can all celebrate as one.
When it comes to the main honour of National Pub & Bar of the Year, in 2025 the event will launch the Top 10 Pubs & Bars in the UK list, with the site at number one taking home the ultimate accolade from the event.
While the Top 10 may include some County Winners, the new list will be voted for separately by a panel made up of hundreds of handpicked industry judges, meaning the award will be decided directly by pub and bar peers.
“The National Pub & Bar Awards are back for 2025, but we’re introducing a few changes to this ultimate celebration of the country’s best pubs and bars,” says Tristan O’Hana, editor of Pub & Bar magazine. “We’ve got hundreds of awards for venues all over the country, 94 County Winners and a brand-new Top 10 list decided by the trade.
“On top of all that, we’re bringing back the Tyrrells Tyrrellbly Good Taste Award, Pub Group of the Year and Bar Group of the Year awards, which will be determined by thousands of consumers who all contribute to the data of CGA by NIQ. This event is all about promoting the very best operations in the country and we look forward to as many operators as possible being a part of it.”
