The Alchemist opens its Cheltenham site

The Alchemist has finally arrived at The Brewery Quarter in Cheltenham, after having to put the project on pause due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Known for its fanciful cocktails, the arrival of The Alchemist has created dozens of jobs, with 40 members of staff hired for the new Cheltenham venture.

“We’re delighted to welcome The Alchemist to our tenant portfolio,” says Nikki Kontarines, asset manager at The Brewery Quarter. “They’re a great fit for the leisure and lifestyle mix that we’re creating here at The Brewery Quarter, sitting perfectly alongside our other venues such as The Botanist and Cosy Club.”

The Brewery Quarter opened in 2006 and began predominantly as a leisure destination. It now includes Cineworld, DW Fitness, Lost World Golf, Hollywood Bowl and a dozen restaurants and bars, including Brewhouse & Kitchen, Son of Steak, Five Guys, Nando’s and Prezzo.

A £30m regeneration of the site was completed in 2017, with a retail corridor extending to the town centre’s high street.
