Harrogate gastropub crowdfunds to carry on

Three’s A Crowd has launched a community-based crowdfund campaign to raise £20,000 a month in order to keep operational.

The owners Lee Murdoch and John Quinlan (pictured) also operate a restaurant, Farrands, in Leeds city centre.

In return for financial donations from the public, Three’s A Crowd is offering vouchers for their next drink/meal with a like-for-like donation to the elderly or a NHS staff.

Here’s what the pub is putting on offer via the campaign:

Tips are top, ta

This perk is purely for staff and 100% of funds raised will go into a split ‘tips pot’ to try to keep staff bank accounts topped up when they’re not able to serve guests.

Support us for a pint (well, an expensive one) – £10

Donate £10 and the pub will get the customer a drink in return.

Support us and our elderly community – £25

For £25, as well as the customer receiving a meal, the pub will donate and deliver a fish and chips to AGE UK North Yorkshire & Darlington, and Harrogate Neighbours.

Support us and treat our healthcare workers – £100

The most expensive perk is designed to be a care package to support local NHS staff. For every package purchased, the pub will offer guests a three-course meal and a drink for two people, before doing the same for NHS staff.
