The Alchemist is set to open a new London flagship site in Canary Wharf on Friday 29 November.
The new 6,200 sq ft space will overlook London’s skyline and feature two spacious outdoor terraces and three bars.
As well as featuring an all-day dining menu, The Alchemist Canary Wharf will offer a ‘grab and go’ bagel menu, with freshly-baked bagels supplied by East London bakery Shalom Hot Bagels.
“Canary Wharf is the perfect location for our London flagship site,” says Simon Potts, managing director of The Alchemist (pictured). “We’ll be offering busy workers respite from the city, with our spacious terraces, all-day dining and expertly crafted cocktails. The new site will have all the quality and theatre found at The Alchemist, but with its own twist tailored to Canary Wharf.”
The latest launch follows a two-year growth period for The Alchemist. The bar group already has three London sites: Bevis Marks at Liverpool Street, St Martin’s Lane and, most recently, Old Street. Canary Wharf will become The Alchemist’s latest and biggest addition.
At the beginning of 2020, The Alchemist will reveal its first opening south of the Thames in Embassy Gardens in Nine Elms.
The Alchemist launched its first site in Manchester in 2010. The forthcoming expansion will take the group to 19 sites nationwide.
