BT Sport enhances marketing support for operators

BT Sport has announced a new free ‘BT Sport Sprint Team’ service, which is available for both new and existing pubs and clubs customers.

The BT Sport Sprint Team will visit customers in venue and provide digital marketing advice as well as merchandising support, including delivery and installation of posters, banners, fixture boards, bar runners and more.

Sprint Team follows last season’s BT Sport Google Digital Garage programme, where in partnership with Google, BT Sport ran 11 digital skills workshops across Great Britain and followed this up with a BT Sport Sprint Team trial, engaging with over 1,000 customers. The Google Digital Garage sessions will continue alongside the new service.

“Our ambition is to help our customers grow their business and thrive in their communities, whether this is making the most of BT Sport, Mother’s Day or a curry night,” says Bruce Cuthbert, director of commercial premises at BT Sport. “This year we have invested in providing our customers opportunities to grow their digital knowledge, sent out more point of sale than ever before, helped to connect women’s and men’s grass root football teams with their local, and are sending out over 15,000 football kits to teams that have partnered with their local.

“This season we are taking what we have learnt and offering our new BT Sport Sprint service to all of our customers. We will come to your venue and spend time helping you to get more customers through the door.”

Customers can register for a visit from a BT Sport Sprint Team from August at www.btsportbusiness.com.
