Pub & Bar magazine is delighted to announce that the acclaimed Jay Rayner will be hosting the 2019 National Pub & Bar Awards.
Rayner, who first hosted the awards back in 2016, is a journalist, broadcaster and food critic best known for his Observer restaurant reviews and appearances as a judge on MasterChef.
No stranger to hundreds of pubs across the whole of the UK, Rayner will once again take to the stage at BAFTA 195 Piccadilly to conduct the National Pub & Bar Awards grand finale, where 94 county-winning pubs and bars will find out which sites have been named the best in their region. The evening will culminate with the grand unveiling of the National Pub & Bar of the Year.
“I’m delighted and thrilled to have been asked to present the terrific celebration that is the National Pub & Bar Awards once again,” says Rayner. “I’m also relieved – it means I haven’t been barred after the last time.”
“We’re thrilled to be working with Jay again,” adds Tristan O’Hana, editor of Pub & Bar magazine. “Having a host who is so respected by those in the audience is key to this event, as it means so much more to be handed your accolade by a critic with such prestige. I’m sure a number of our winners will be asking him to pay them a visit in the near future!”
Entries for the 2019 National Pub & Bar Awards are now closed.
