The UK’s largest pub company Ei Group has achieved the Investors in People Gold Award as a result of its work developing and supporting its employees.
The assessment process is rigorous and Ei Group now joins a select list of accredited organisations across the UK that have achieved the Gold standard – it’s only awarded to businesses which are able to actively demonstrate they operate at the very highest levels of people management practice, aligned to business strategy, ethos and values.
Ei Group’s people strategy was identified as having a positive impact by the assessment, with key strengths including a shared understanding of the company’s direction and priorities; embedded and applied group values; pride and passion for quality and customer service; and that its people believe that Ei Group is a great place to work.
“This is a considerable achievement for the group given the level of change that we have undergone as a business since the last assessment in 2016 and especially given that the required performance standards have been made tougher in the intervening period,” says Simon Townsend, chief executive officer at Ei Group.
“We’re committed to providing exciting and challenging careers at Ei Group, which incorporates the personal development of individuals throughout their time with the company.
“This award is a clear validation of all the hard work that has been put in by teams across the business.”
