Classic Cocktail Competition returns for 2024

The Classic Cocktail Competition is now open for entries.

A one-day cocktail extravaganza, where bartenders from all over the UK can show off their classic drink creations, is returning for its second year.

With entries now open, The Classic Cocktail Competition encourages pub, bar, hotel and restaurant bartenders to spend more time thinking about how to serve spectacular classic cocktails to UK consumers, showcasing classic cocktail creativity on a national scale.

Headline sponsored by Mix with Britvic, the 2024 event is moving to Dirty Martini in St Paul’s, London, where 15 selected bartenders will go head-to-head in a bid to win the £1,000 prize, as well as a trip to France with The Classic Cocktail Competition sponsor Les verges Boiron.

At the live final, the bartenders are required to make six different classic cocktails each, all served in their own signature style in strictly timed heats.

Throw your hat in the ring

“We’re so excited to bring back The Classic Cocktail Competition for its second year,” says Tristan O’Hana, editor of Pub & Bar, which hosts the event. “Last year’s finalists read like a who’s who of high street cocktail bars, so we can’t wait to see which hospitality outfits throw their hat in the ring for 2024.”

After the heats during the day, the winners will be announced at a private reception held immediately after the competition.
