Bob and Jane Burns of Ye Olde Withy Trees in Bamber Bridge, Preston, have celebrated 25 years at the pub.
The pair marked their anniversary at the Robinsons Brewery pub with a series of events which ran from 10-13 November, including live music, a bouncy castle, a barbecue and an appearance by Darth Vader and some Storm Troopers. A specialised pub clip was made for the pub by the brewery.
“We had a heated marquee in the back, along with a bouncy castle for the kids,” says Jane Burns. “On the Friday night our live music was from Deepwater Blue who are a young, talented indie rock band. Saturday early evening we had a visit from Darth Vader and one of his Storm Troopers. Our customers loved having their photos taken with them. All in all, we all had a great weekend of entertainment and fun.”
“We always like to do something special for our pubs and licensees, especially when they’re celebrating such a milestone,” says Steve Robinson, business development manager for Robinsons Brewery. “So, for the Ye Olde Withy Trees’ 25th anniversary, we thought it would be a nice idea to create a personalised pump clip to mark the occasion.”
