The National Burger Awards is set to make a raucous return in 2018 to once again find the finest burgers in the UK from pubs, bars, restaurants and hotels.
Entries are now open for chefs to submit the best burger on their menu to be in with a chance of taking part in the live final, where they will cook up their creation as well as a technical burger and a Booker Mystery Box burger for a panel of expert industry judges.
Three awards will be presented at the evening ceremony; Technical Burger of the Year, Burger Chef of the Year, and the overall National Burger of the Year – which comes with the grand prize of £1,000.
“It was a real privilege for us to win the National Burger Awards,” says Glenn Evans, head of food development at Las Iguanas, and National Burger Awards winner 2017. “Our Buenos Aires burger showcases some of the best ingredients and recipes from Argentina combined in one amazing meal and winning the award really put the burger on the map in terms of a recognised signature dish from Las Iguanas.”
The live final and awards ceremony takes place on Wednesday 21 February 2018 at the Islington Metal Works in London.
Entries can be submitted at nationalburgerawards.co.uk.
The closing date for entries is Wednesday 3 January 2018.
